Valerie Brown of Loss Prevention Consultants approached me looking for an image. She had all of the pieces of her consulting business in order and, while the paperwork was going through, she needed to put together a logo, advertising material, and a website. 

I created a logo and worked with her to put together business cards, flyers, digital presentations, and and a website. 

Madness: An Audio Essay

I wrote and recorded* this piece for a mini-course at the University of Michigan. I took inspiration from This American Life; the essay is split into three acts. My own story is first, then I talk about Steve Martin’s autobiography (which I was reading at the time), and a group that has influenced my life profoundly: Monty Python.

Alphabet Poster

I created this poster for an assignment in a graphic design class. I wanted to show some of the beautiful plants I had seen while attending the University of Michigan Biological Station. 

My Brother’s Wedding

I was honored when, shortly after announcing his engagement, my brother asked me to be in his wedding. I wasn’t too happy with the gift our shared mother chose for me to give him: a culinary torch. Cool, no doubt, but lacking the kind of personal and sentimental value I would want to give my brother and his wife. 

My real gift to him was the pleasure of designing various print works for his wedding including the rehearsal dinner invitation, wedding program, name cards, and reception dinner menus. 

Saline Rec Center Fall into Fitness Postcard

This postcard design was an advertisement for Saline Rec Center’s annual open house. The postcard was designed to draw new members by visually highlighting programs and building features and invite current members to enjoy many of the free events going on that day.

Compare Yourself to Tyrannosaurus rex

I created this welcome kit for docents at the Ann Arbor Museum of Natural History. It contains a variety of information about the popular dinosaur that docent hosts can use to engage the public.

Military Partners and Families Coalition

Military Partners and Families Coalition (MPFC) is a private non-profit non-partisan organization based in Washington, D.C. It was founded in 2011 by a group of partners of active duty U.S. Armed Forces service members stationed in the U.S. and overseas. MPFC provides support, resources, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender military partners and their families.
